Sourdough Waffles

Equipment

  • 1 Waffle Iron
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Ladle

Ingredients

  • Butter, Lard, or Tallow
  • 2 Cups Sourdough Starter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 TSP Baking Powder
  • 2 TSP Mineral Salt

Instructions

  • Heat the waffle iron up
  • In a mixing bowl add the eggs
  • Whisk the eggs until fluffy
  • Add salt, baking soda, and sourdough
  • Mix well and you should see air bubbles the batter will become fluffy
  • Oil the waffle iron with butter, lard, or tallow
  • Ladle the batter evenly on the waffle iron
  • Shut the waffle iron and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Top with fresh fruit and honey or syrup
